Servicegesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt Sued mbH was founded by Stadtwerke Merseburg GmbH, Stadtwerke Weissenfels GmbH and Technische Werke Naumburg GmbH as a joint service company and provides commercial and technical services in the areas of piped energy and water supply, wastewater disposal and telecommunications. The company has contracts with the three shareholders for the provision of technical and commercial services and cross-sectional functions and additionally provides individual services to other municipal utilities, wastewater associations and companies. Tasks and sites are distributed across Merseburg (network operations, IT, HR service, billing and receivables management), Naumburg (finance and accounting, facility management, safety officer, network control center) and Weissenfels (technical service, network operation, warehouse) and are connected via a common network. In fiscal year 2024 SG SAS recorded total operating income of T€ 20,420, employed 189 staff as of December 31, 2024 (excluding trainees) and closed the year with a net profit of T€ 289.
