SGL GmbH, based in Erftstadt-Gymnich, is a regionally active agribusiness whose purpose is the purchase, processing and marketing of agricultural products and agricultural supplies. Core services are production and propagation of seed grain, crop consultancy, distribution of fertilizers and trade in plant protection products; for seed grain production SGL operates modern production, transshipment and storage capacities at its Gymnich site. The marketing of seed grain is directed to wholesale, trade and farms in Germany and neighboring EU countries, while plant protection products and fertilizers are mainly sold regionally.
