Evangelische Altenhilfe St. Georgen gGmbH is a non-profit company based in Sankt Georgen im Schwarzwald whose statutory purpose is the promotion of welfare, public health and elderly care in a Christian spirit; it is committed to the Diaconal Work of the Protestant Regional Church in Baden. It operates multiple inpatient facilities (Lorenzhaus with 99 long-term beds, Elisabethhaus with 39 beds, Schönwald care home with 30 beds), day-care centers (Elisabethhaus 12 places; “Schönblickstüble” 18 places since 02/2024) and extensive outpatient services including a social station, organised neighbourhood help and meal delivery (“Essen auf Rädern”). The company also manages several assisted living complexes and five guest apartments “Auszeit” in the Lorenzhöhe assisted living facility, thus providing the full range of care from outpatient to fully inpatient. It is sole shareholder of Evangelische Altenhilfe Sankt Georgen Service GmbH and participates in innovation projects such as the LivingLab “InnoClusion” and the care alliance “Schönwald” to strengthen local cooperation.
