WENZEL Metrology GmbH is a globally active provider of industrial coordinate metrology that develops, manufactures and sells customer-specific coordinate measuring machines with tactile and optical sensors, multisensor systems, optical high-speed scanning and CT-based 3D X-ray metrology. Customers use the systems in dedicated metrology rooms for quality assurance or directly in production; key customer industries include automotive, aerospace, plastics, medical technology and mechanical engineering. In addition to its own machines, WENZEL offers extensive metrology software (including WM | Quartis) and distributes partner solutions, with long-standing collaborations with Renishaw and KREON and software support from Metrologic or Polyworks. Machine sales are the primary pillar of the business model, while the aftermarket (customer and spare-parts service) is the second major pillar based on more than 10,000 machines sold; production and a high manufacturing depth take place at the Wiesthal site (Made in Germany).
