TVI Entwicklung und Produktion GmbH develops, manufactures and sells machines and machine parts primarily for the meat industry and related markets, including solutions for tempering, pressing, portioning and automating fresh meat as well as machines for wrapping grill torches and producing shashlik skewers. Its product range covers meat tempering, manual and automatic portioning with subsequent weight control and transfer of finished portions to packaging machines. Foreign sales in 2021 were handled almost entirely through MULTIVAC subsidiary distributors, while domestic sales since 2021 have also been routed almost exclusively via MULTIVAC Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. In fiscal 2021 TVI incurred high R&D expenses (TEUR 4,474 expensed) and employed on average 21 development staff; at the end of 2021 the first prototype of the GMS 400 was completed and field tests took place in early 2022.
