AVL Software and Functions GmbH was founded in 2008 and is a 100% subsidiary of AVL List GmbH headquartered in Graz, Austria. Within the AVL group the company is responsible for the competence areas “Controls” and “E‑Drive” and focuses on developing software and electronic solutions for the automotive industry. The technical product portfolio includes E‑Drive systems, high‑voltage electronics, control‑unit applications for combustion engines, diagnostic and safety functions, security measures, hardware‑near software as well as driver‑assistance and autonomous driving functions; it is complemented by vehicle motion functions, connectivity applications and cloud‑based data processing. The company operates sites in Regensburg (headquarters), Roding (sensor test center), Munich, Leonberg and Warsaw, employs staff from 45 nations and also markets its process and tool competences (A‑SPICE) as well as consulting services and tools to external OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers.
