AWO Betreuungsdienste gGmbH, based in Friesack (HRB 7354), supports disabled, sick and socially disadvantaged people in the state of Brandenburg, assumes child and youth welfare tasks and trains personnel for social sector activities. The company operates 12 residential facilities, one stationary child and youth facility, four accompanied parenthood facilities, one youth welfare facility (§19 SGB VIII), three semi-stationary facilities and holds 14 agreements for the provision of outpatient services. In addition, it runs an outpatient nursing service providing benefits pursuant to SGB V and SGB XI. The company may rent or acquire real estate, operates the facilities directly (not as an auxiliary person under §57 AO), and its shares are held 80% by AWO Bezirksverband Potsdam e.
