Axthelm & Co. is primarily an investment and holding company and acts as the general partner of the Axthelm group; its corporate purpose also includes the manufacture, distribution and trade of electrotechnical articles and products of the metal and plastics industry. The group develops and produces cable laying systems (cable trays and cable ladders) for ceiling, wall and floor installations and sells these mainly by direct sales to industrial major customers and installers. The products are largely sourced from the Niedax group (business area “Rico”); special constructions, fastening materials and engineering services are supplied by sister companies, in particular the Rico Engineering GmbH founded in 2019. The group does not maintain its own R&D for standard products; customer-specific special solutions are developed internally or procured from sister companies.
