SFW Schildauer Fleisch- und Wurstwaren GmbH is a meat-processing company with an approximately 100-year corporate history; the current production facility was established in 1995 at the Schildau site. It manufactures boiled sausages (Brühwurst), raw sausages (Rohwurst) and cooked sausages (Kochwurst) and operates a delicatessen division producing meat-based salads. Sales are handled by an in-house distribution network to the national traditional grocery trade, discount retailers, large consumers (GV), specialized wholesalers (FGHA), specialist butchers and via its own retail network of 8 branches (2 meat counters, 6 full-line stores). In the 2023 fiscal year the company employed on average 132 employees (77 full-time, 55 part-time, 3 temporary helpers).
