Deutsche Giessdraht GmbH manufactures high-quality copper cast-rolled wire under the RHEINROD brand at its site in Emmerich am Rhein. The company produces wires in dimensions 8, 10, 13 and 16 mm from copper cathodes and high-purity copper scrap. Products are supplied mainly to customers in Germany and other European countries and the processing is performed exclusively under contract for the sole shareholder Aurubis AG. The business model is based on a tolling agreement with a smelting charge determined by actual costs plus a mark-up (cost-plus method).
