DS Smith Packaging Arnstadt GmbH develops, manufactures and sells packaging and displays of all kinds, especially shipping and sales packaging and displays printed or unprinted from cardboard and corrugated board. The bulk of customers come from the beverage, food and consumer goods industries as well as the chemical (cleaning and detergent) and precision/photo industries; products are distributed largely supra-regionally and increasingly regionally. In the 2021/2022 fiscal year the company achieved a sales volume of 75 million square metres, exceeding the budget of 72 million and recording a 0.7% increase versus the prior year. The company continued a plant expansion with a planned total investment volume of T€ 16,700; property, plant and equipment increased from T€ 19,826 to T€ 28,813, mainly due to investment in a new corrugator.
