LIGNUM Holding GmbH

LIGNUM Holding GmbH, based in Berlin, forms together with its subsidiaries the LIGNUM group; the non-profit LIGNUM Stiftung holds a 90% stake at the holding level. The group commercially cultivates European high-value hardwoods in Bulgaria (black locust/Robinie, cherry, mulberry, black walnut) and maintains teak plantations in Brazil; the planting area in Bulgaria totaled 2,121.9 ha as of 31/12/2013. LIGNUM offers roundwood purchase contracts and, to a smaller extent, long-term loans to investors; advance payments on roundwood sales amounted to 55,362 TEUR as of 31/12/2013. In the 2013 financial year the group reported revenues of 930 TEUR and a consolidated result of 2,732 TEUR.
