Flughafen Frankfurt‑Hahn GmbH operates Frankfurt‑Hahn International Airport for civil aviation and markets the Hahn estate with development focuses on an international civil airport, industrial and service areas, research and education, as well as congress, sports and residential/entertainment facilities. The company holds a 24‑hour operating permit and is 82.5% owned by HNA Airport Group GmbH and 17.5% by the state of Hesse. In fiscal year 2018 there were 2,093,259 passengers (including transit); Ryanair accounted for 84.0% and Wizz Air for 11.0% of passenger volumes, and passenger numbers fell by 378,939 (-15.3%) versus 2017. The cargo segment grew to 179,499 tonnes in 2018 (+41.6%) and the wholly owned subsidiary Jet Fuel Hahn GmbH has operated the airport tank farm since February 2017.
